The village map here shows how to find the cottage. Access by car is limited with parking outside prohibited. Navigating the steep road can be difficult, especially when it is busy, so we recommend you park in one of the designated areas and walk to the cottage.
The entrance to White Rose holiday cottage can be found down the side of The Old Drapery store, which you will see just before the right turn and The Laurel Inn. Please walk past the fire escape steps, and the blue door behind these is the cottage entrance.
The cheapest option is to find a spot on the residential streets that have free parking in the upper village. These are Mount Pleasant North, East and South. It can be difficult to get parked here during the day though.
There are two council owned pay and display car parks in Robin Hood’s Bay, both 5-10 minutes’ walk from the cottage in the upper village. The Station and Bank Top car parks both have 24 hour parking available for £6. You can also buy a permit at the local post office that will allows parking in these and other local car parks for a longer stay. Parking here is free in the winter.
Fisherhead car park is a privately owned car park less than a five minute walk from the cottage. Spaces are rare, and the only way to buy a pass is to call Tim or Kate at The Old School House on Fisherhead: 01947 880723 or 07966 153819.
THINGS TO DO
With beaches, walking, cycling and horse riding, museum, church, gift shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs all in Robin Hoods bay, and Whitby and Scarborough not far away, there's plenty to do during your holiday at White Rose Cottage. We've put together a small guide here, and there are always leaflets left in the cottage too.
